Michelle Glennon has been a Northport resident for more than 50 years. After graduating from Northport High School, she obtained a BS in International Business and was employed by Reuters News Agency as a Corporate Bond Reporter. After starting a family with her husband, Patrick, Michelle changed careers, acquired her real estate license and took over managing the office for Patrick’s construction business. This allowed her the flexibility to be more involved with her children’s school and community.
Although Michelle had made use of the library throughout her childhood as an adult she became reacquainted with all that our libraries offer when her father in law, Michael Glennon was Chairman of the Board of Trustees. Michael instilled in Michelle a love and appreciation for the wealth of programs and amount of resources that are made available to our residents. Michelle believes the library is a vital part of the community and would love the opportunity to help it continue to thrive. Michelle was recently appointed the Clerk for the Village of Asharoken. She believes this new public office experience will enhance her contribution as a member of the Board of Trustees.
