NP Building Project

Northport Reading Room and Mezzanine CLOSED FOR RENOVATIONS beginning Monday, June 17.

During this time, we ask for your patience and suggest you visit the East Northport building if possible.

The Library will be closed in observance of the Independence Day holiday on Thursday, July 4.

Children and Family Services

The Children’s Room is an inviting space specially designed for children of all abilities from birth to grade five and their caregivers. We offer child friendly computers, activities, and programs, as well as a large selection of books, magazines, audio books, ebooks, DVDs, video games, and online services for homework help.

Children's Collections are housed in the Children's Room in both buildings. This collection offers a wide variety of books and other resources to our young population of library users.

The Road to Reading begins with you. Reading, talking, singing, writing, and playing with your child helps develop their early literacy skills. Early literacy is everything your child knows about reading and writing before they can read or write. Our library programs are designed to develop these skills by including songs, fingerplays, rhymes, and stories. Together we can lay a foundation for success in learning to read.
