The Long Island Media Task force panel will reveal how algorithms track our online activities and decide what we are exposed to-and what is kept from us-in both ads and news content. The presentation will conclude with a series of recommendations about how participants can regain control over the kinds of information that reaches them through social media, and how to evaluate whether news is real of fake.
