Dr. Marianne McNamara, Professor of Biology and Oceanography at Suffolk County Community College, will highlight the adventures she had while conducting research during two months aboard an icebreaker ship. Find out how scientists work in this harsh, remote-but beautiful-setting. Enjoy breathtaking scenery and descriptions of 60-foot seas, navigating the Ross Ice Shelf, and encountering seals, whales, and penguins. Registration is underway.
