The Lunar Module transported two Astronauts to the moon in July, 1969 and it was built right here on Long Island. Long Island Joins The Space Race is an independent feature length documentary that tells of the engineers and the now primitive technology they used to create this most amazing voyage. Filmmaker Glenn Andreiev, of Kings Park, whose father was part of the Lunar Module team, uses rare archival footage as well as interviews with Apollo engineers to bring us close up to The Moon.
