Mary Martin was America’s favorite leading lady of musicals. Though she appeared on radio and in films, her greatest triumphs were on stage. She memorably created the roles of Nellie Forbush in South Pacific and Maria von Trapp in The Sound of Music, and she played the title role in Peter Pan on stage and television. Join lecturer Marc Courtade as he pays tribute to a radiant star who loved her work, and—for almost 50 years—knew how to make audiences share her happiness.
