The Library offers many services to our Educator community. Please see the list below or contact the Library with further questions.
We are able to provide your students with materials and more efficient service if we have prior detailed information on the assignment you wish them to complete. You are welcome to visit our library where a librarian will assist you in selecting appropriate materials for your class.

Educator's Collection
Located in Children & Family Services in both buildings, this collection is designed for individuals working with children. Books, videos, and audiobooks which foster learning and early literacy are included, along with critical works about children's literature, storytelling guides, and handbooks. Books and materials which provide guidance in conducting developmentally appropriate activities are also part of this collection.
Parenting Collection
Located in Children & Family Services in both buildings, this collection deals with parenting and child development concerns, prenatal through adolescent, consisting of books, videos, DVD's, audiobooks, magazines, and pamphlets. The Parents Collection is housed in the Children's Department in each building.
Middle and High School Textbooks
Access middle school and high school textbooks from the Northport-East Northport School District. In-library use only.
The Library subscribes to more than 20 Museum Passes for free admission to some of the New York area’s most popular institutions. Museum Passes are available to NENPL cardholders. Discounted vouchers to the American Museum of Natural History and Long Island Aquarium are also available for sale periodically.

Special Loans Services For Our Schools
An extension of public library resources brought directly into the public school classroom, Special Loan Service For Our Schools (SLSFOS) helps support curricular needs while stimulating classroom activity. This program was developed in January, 1990 by the Northport-East Northport Public Library to make its materials more readily available to the teachers and students of the Northport-East Northport School District.
